The Re-imagining Citizenship Activity Station was designed by Assunta Ruocco and Zak Jones with Chiara Dellerba and Johanna Hallsten.
The Re-imagining Citizenship Activity Station was specially designed to house copies of the risograph-printed Re-imagining Citizenship Activity Book, published in 2019. It also incorporates a shelf for a laptop or tablet to provide online access to the project website for browsing the Living Archive of responses to the various activities outlined in the book. The structure, constructed from Russian Birch plywood and lengths of softwood planed smooth timber, is modelled on the archetypal British ‘polling booth’. The footprint of the Activity Station is 65 cm x 70 cm with a total height 193 cm.
The Activity Station is transportable and available for exhibitions, community groups or educational activities. So far, it has been stationed at Loughborough University (UK), Nottingham Contemporary (UK) and Palazzo Mora (Italy). If you are interested in hosting the Activity Station, or holding workshops based around some of the activities in the Re-imagining Citizenship Activity Book, please get in touch with us and we can discuss the possibilities.
